Radio TotalNormal – Live broadcast at The Cell

On March 26, Radio TotalNormal will broadcast live from The Cell. A unique radio programme where people with lived experience of mental ill health share their stories – unfiltered. Join us to listen, reflect and be part of the conversation.

Since 2008, Radio TotalNormal has worked to create openness around mental health through conversations, music and personal storytelling. The core idea is simple yet powerful: those with lived experience hold the microphone themselves.

The initiative is run by the media house Fanzingo in Alby, which since 2006 has focused on amplifying stories from underrepresented communities. TotalNormal began as a Swedish Inheritance Fund project and was inspired by the Argentinian radio programme Radio La Colifata, broadcast from the garden of a psychiatric hospital in Buenos Aires.

During this afternoon at The Cell, the programme will be broadcast live in front of an audience. Voices, perspectives and experiences come together in an open conversation about what it means to be human in a time shaped by uncertainty, performance pressure and change.

The audience is not just listening – you are part of the room. Come to listen. Stay to reflect.
