One Square Metre of Textile Art with Handarbetets Vänner

See textile craft meet contemporary art as students from Handarbetets Vänner take over The Cell. Inspired by the exhibition Me, You, We, they have created their own works using a range of materials and textile art techniques.

One source of inspiration, many expressions

Handarbetets Vänner is a school offering full-time programmes and short courses in textile crafts, combining artistic expression with advanced craftsmanship.

For this project, the students were given the same source of inspiration: the third part of the exhibition series Me, You, Weat The Cell. Each student developed their own sketch before interpreting it through their choice of materials and textile art techniques.

The results will be on display at The Cell from 12 November until the end of January.
